1. Who We Are
Licentia ("Licentia", "we", "us") is an environmental licensing management software, located at R. Prof. Marcos Cardoso Filho, 575, Santa Mônica, Florianópolis, SC, 88037-040, Brazil.
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the website www.licentia.digital (the "Website"). By accessing or using the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Website.
2. Definitions
- Website: the corporate website available at www.licentia.digital, including its pages, blog, forms and other content, in Portuguese and in English;
- Platform: the Licentia software licensed to customers, available at app.licentia.digital;
- Visitor: any person who accesses or browses the Website, whether or not they submit a form;
- Customer: the legal entity that has contracted the Platform under a signed agreement or an accepted commercial proposal;
- Forms: the demo request, contact and newsletter subscription forms available on the Website;
- Content: texts, articles, images, charts, trademarks, logos, videos, downloadable materials and any other elements published on the Website.
3. Scope and Acceptance
These Terms apply only to the use of the Website. Use of the Platform is not governed by these Terms, but by the agreement or commercial proposal entered into with each Customer (see Section 5).
Access to the Website is free of charge and requires no registration. The processing of personal data through the Website is described in our Privacy Policy and on the LGPD page (in Portuguese), which supplement these Terms.
4. What the Website Offers
The Website serves informational and commercial purposes. Through it, you can:
- Learn about Licentia, its features, the segments it serves and the available plans;
- Request a demo or get in touch with our team;
- Read articles and content about environmental licensing, climate and ESG on our blog;
- Subscribe to our newsletter to receive new articles by email;
- Reach the Platform sign-in link, if you are a Customer user.
Information about features, plans and conditions presented on the Website is general in nature and does not constitute a binding offer. The commercial terms applicable to each Customer are those set out in the relevant commercial proposal or agreement.
5. Platform Access
- The Platform is available at app.licentia.digital and is intended for users authorized by Customers;
- The purchase, use, service levels, support and processing of data within the Platform are governed by each Customer's agreement or commercial proposal;
- If there is any conflict between these Terms and a Customer's agreement or commercial proposal, the agreement or proposal prevails with respect to the Platform;
- Platform credentials are personal and non-transferable. Any suspected misuse must be reported immediately to atendimento@licentia.digital.
6. Acceptable Use
When using the Website, you must not:
- Use the Website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
- Submit false information through the Forms, personal data of third parties without authorization, or offensive, discriminatory or unlawful content;
- Use bots, scrapers or other automated means to access the Website, submit Forms or extract Content in bulk, except for search engine crawlers that follow the Website's technical rules;
- Bypass or attempt to bypass the bot protection, security controls or technical limits of the Website;
- Introduce viruses, malicious code or anything capable of damaging, overloading or impairing the operation of the Website;
- Copy, modify or reverse engineer the Website's code, in whole or in part;
- Use the Website or its Content to send unsolicited communications (spam) or to compete unfairly with Licentia.
Licentia may block access and disregard submissions that breach these Terms, without prejudice to any other appropriate measures.
7. Forms and Newsletter
- By submitting a Form, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to share it, including information about the company you represent;
- Submitting a demo request or contact Form does not create a contract for the Platform or any obligation for either party. We will do our best to reply, but we do not guarantee a response time;
- Along with the Form, the Website sends the source and browsing data described in our Privacy Policy. This data is kept in your browser and is only sent when you choose to submit a Form;
- The newsletter subscription is based on your consent and can be cancelled at any time, using the link included in every email or by writing to atendimento@licentia.digital;
- The Forms are protected by a bot protection service (Cloudflare Turnstile). Submissions that fail this check may be rejected.
8. Informational Content
The articles, materials and other content published on the Website are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, technical or environmental advice, and they do not replace the assessment of qualified professionals or the guidance of the competent environmental agencies.
- Environmental licensing laws and regulations change frequently and vary across federal, state and municipal levels in Brazil. Content may no longer reflect the current rules after it is published;
- Before making decisions about licenses, permit conditions, deadlines or environmental obligations, verify the information with official sources and with the professionals responsible for your process;
- Opinions expressed in signed articles are the responsibility of their authors;
- Licentia may correct, update or remove Content at any time without prior notice.
9. Intellectual Property
- The Licentia trademark, logos, layout, texts, images, Website code and other Content are owned by Licentia or by third parties who have authorized their use, and are protected under Brazilian law, including Law No. 9,279/1996 (Industrial Property) and Law No. 9,610/1998 (Copyright);
- Accessing the Website does not grant Visitors any rights over these elements;
- You may share links to the Website and quote short excerpts from articles, provided that you credit the source and link to the original page;
- Full reproduction, modification, distribution or commercial use of the Content requires Licentia's prior written authorization;
- Trademarks and logos of customers, partners and third parties displayed on the Website belong to their respective owners and are used for reference purposes only.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, such as government agencies, legislation, partners and social networks, and it relies on third-party services for hosting, security and audience measurement.
- Links are provided for convenience only. Licentia does not control and is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites;
- Access to third-party websites is subject to their own terms and policies, which we recommend that you read;
- The third-party services used by the Website are described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Data Protection
Personal data collected through the Website is processed in accordance with Brazilian Law No. 13,709/2018 (the General Data Protection Law, or LGPD) and as described in our Privacy Policy. Data subject rights and how to exercise them are explained in the Privacy Policy and on the LGPD page (in Portuguese).

12. Website Availability
- The Website is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages) and is provided on an "as available" basis, with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation;
- The Website may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, failures of third-party providers or events beyond our reasonable control;
- Licentia may change, suspend or discontinue the Website, in whole or in part, at any time, including pages, features and Content;
- Proper operation of the Website requires an up-to-date browser and a stable connection, which are the Visitor's responsibility.
13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Licentia is not liable for:
- Decisions made solely on the basis of the Website's informational Content, without the verification recommended in Section 8;
- Damages resulting from unavailability, slowness or failures of the Website caused by third parties, unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure;
- Content, products, services or practices of third-party websites accessed through links;
- Damages caused by use of the Website in breach of these Terms or the law;
- Losses resulting from viruses or malicious code that do not originate from the Website, or from failures of the Visitor's equipment or connection.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including rights granted under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code, where applicable.
14. Changes to These Terms
Licentia may update these Terms at any time to reflect changes to the Website, the law or our practices. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
We recommend that you review this page periodically. Continued use of the Website after a new version is published constitutes acceptance of the changes.
15. General Provisions
- These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the LGPD page together form the set of rules that apply to the use of the Website;
- If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect;
- Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of rights;
- This English version is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy between the Portuguese and English versions of these Terms, the Portuguese version prevails;

16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of the District of Florianópolis, State of Santa Catarina, Brazil, shall have jurisdiction to settle any disputes relating to the Website, without prejudice to a consumer's right to file a claim in the courts of their place of residence, where applicable.
